Swivelonit 119
I ask because I was reading this on FaceBook in the MK 2 owners area, very impressive stats for a 2.0 8 valve turbo motor with only 4 cylinders, 475 bhp and 608nm torque! I know it is not a V6 and this is a V6 domain but you have to admit quite impressive and used as a daily drive too. Here is the LINK to Facebook and below are some pictures of the car. Very stock looking Golf G60 left hooker. Power plant.

Swivelonit 119
Bet it sounds shit though. Not like the sound of a 6 potter Lukey that's for sure but it is an impressive set of stats for a 4 pot.

Swivelonit 119
real figures mate, the guy who owns this is really good at what he does. I will ask him if he has the dyno print out.
Ickyketseddie 89
Wow mega then, kudos to him. To be honest I loved my old 8v, it's where it all started for me so always have a soft spot for them. Always wanted to go turbo back then but never had the know how or money lol. VR6Pete 1,455
wonder how reliable that is.
craggsy 91
It's gonna be properly strained tho, even if it's a 2litre 8v. Where as the VR6 can handle 475 and 450 ftlb torque all day
Ickyketseddie 89
Mere details!! HahaSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Lukey. 381
It'll be a real old skool power delivery for sure look at the size of the turbo hehe
Swivelonit 119
It is reliable Pete, this car has been running for years as the daily drive, it has also had many different turbo's on there too in the development. Before this he had a MK 2 diesel that ran santa pod in high 10's, so he knows his stuff, he will be assisting me with the turbo fitting to the MK 4 V6 over the next few months. His next project is another G60 shell with Haldex AWD system and a TTRS straight 5 turbo motor, figure of 800 bhp is the target. He is on Tdi club as TDI RS, you can search and find his build of the diesel Golf, this current MK 2 has been done under the radar, I was surprised to see his post on FB about it. Swivelonit 119
I have heard Loba did an 1150bhp MK 2 but I can't find any youtube on it though. Quite incredible what can be achieved from most of the family cars available these days.

shawy 3
Look up andy forrest .. bigger engine capacity is always faster .. less horsepowerper cylinder .. if 4 cylinders is quicker its only because the 6 cylinder guys have not pushed them yet ..
