vrburt 0
Hi folks. This was used in a wheeler dealer episode a while back, and i'm thinking of using it. www.evanscoolants.co.ukAs my car goes for long periods of sitting in the garage. What are people thoughts ? is anyone using it ?
michael5556 247
Not seen this before but had a good look on their website and it seems pretty good! The science behind it seems too back it up. Might try it myself!
VIW28 29
I ha contemplated using this on my setup but at the price of it I thought I would try other alternatives first as it is pretty expensive. You have to buy the flush too so that the system is completely flushed of water.I guess if your cooling system was borderline efficient it would be a good job, downside is if you burst a hose or develop a major leak. Personally I used some Millers water wetter and it seems to work fine, couple that with low temp thermostat and fan switch plus decent oil and an external oil cooler I have found no need for anything else, regardless of sitting in traffic or on full boost
daxmatt 0
Does look interesting but not cheap, don't mind that but as said pop a hose or need to drop the coolant its even more money
michael5556 247
But in theory you shouldn't pop a hose? As it makes the cooling system run at about 4psi. So a lot less stress on the hoses and water pumps etc. I'm sure if you took a really big breath you could blow harder than 4 psi... Lol
VR6Pete 1,455
I came across this the other night, and was impressed, especially when he took the cap of the radiator, must put the whole coolant system under much less stress / pressure and imagine it would extend the life of the coolant system, probably would be most beneficial after an overhaul. What is the price of this? Here's the video I saw on youtube...s-NfA17q0MQ Would be very interested to hear the results of this, and the best thing is you can re-use the flush too
The Duke 27
I remember seeing this on wheeler dealers and thinking at the time it looks a good idea, they do come up with some good things on wheeler dealers
Lukey. 381
Wheeler dealers didn't actually make any of the products they use you realise? The whole system as normal only has 18psi in it so not that pressurised anyway, only enough to increase boiling point to about 120C
daxmatt 0
He said its about 90 with the flush for the system that you also use
daxmatt 0
Been reading up on this and it would seem people are getting higher oil temps when using it so bigger oil coolers may be needed, also fans running a lot more than usual
