russj249 2 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 I had the same issue with mine.. as I was pushing the crack pipe in the o ring was popping out the seal and leaking.Do what Pete has said with cleaning the block, then make sure it pushes in flush and not one side before the other. Lukey. 381 Posted September 28, 2012 Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 Take a good look in the port and if theres any irregularities give it a bit of a rub with wet and dry, obviously taking care not to get bits stuck anywhere, then if its increased the size of the hole build it back up with some JB weld. You can get some grey high temp & coolant resistant silicone from halfords for not an extortionate price, bead it round the o-rings and install, the silicone will also help with getting the o-ring seated as it can be a right pain to get it in the pump end.Leave overnight to cure and then enjoy your leak free crack pipe for the forseeable future. eastwood john 1 Posted September 28, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 many thanks for replying guys,would have thought when replaceing thermostat houseing it would square the pipe back up :S but like you say russ seal may have poped out,will pop to halfords over the weekend for the silicone lukey and give it another go,and if it still leaks i will be cracking pipes |-) Link to post Share on other sites
