Dirtysanchez 0
Hi all,I noticed the other day that the handbrake warning light was very dimly lit whilst I was driving along. It would occasionally flicker brightly if I hit a bump in the road etc. The following day I changed the brake fluid, thinking it might be warning me of low fluid. So it's now got nice, new, fresh fluid. This hasn't cured the light though. Could the light be a low pad warning? I did the fluid with the wheels on, so didn't really look at the discs and pads (also, I seem to remember that they were changed not long before I bought it in May/June).P.S - I know I should probably have checked/changed the discs and pads before the fluid, but I was being lazy
cabrioman 6
do you mean the hand brake light ??? if so if the fluid is ok its either the hand brake switch or the sensor on the brake fluid
kentyboy 0
does the abs light come on and go off? as i had this problem when i had a problem with my abs.....turns out it was a bad connection to the abs bulb, for some reason it puts the handbrake light on...or makes it flicker... Dirtysanchez 0
Yeah the ABS is fine I've had a quick look on Google and most people seem to suggest (like Tony) that it's either the handbrake switch or fluid sensor, so I'll have a look at both this weekend
