psilosimon 8
I'm getting more steam in my cab than Ivor the Engine so I take it that's the end of my heater matrix. I have a P reg VR6 eyeliner with aircon. is this a massive issue to sort?
palmer 17
I had the same problem last year..........I wouldnt say its a massive problem but its a pain in the arse puttin a new 1 in as you have to rip everything out
cabrioman 6
there is a ` how to ` in the premium member section mate but its not that difficult its about a days work ... dash out etc etc .....
psilosimon 8
Does the Aircon actually form part of the matrix? I can see the two rubber coolant pipes going in the top.
legvw 0
The a/c is seperate to the heater matrix, but does make it harder to change. It might be worth separating the a/c in the engine bay to make life easier.
chazvr 1
you do need to disconnect the ac pipes in the engine bay that go into the bulkhead to free up the heater box. Think it was like 3 allen key bolts. Did this on my a/c vr a few months back. Not too difficult if you use the guide like i did.
Vr6milligan 0
Check you have no rain water leaks mine was bad for steaming and was leaking as sunroof drain pipes blocked and rear lamps raining in, sorted them and now it's sorted, I'd only be concerned about the matrix if your coolant is going down
