Miss-Vw 2
Got an intermittent problem with the VR, and ive noticed it only does it if I've been out on a couple of runs and the engine is warm. When I turn the car over, the revs drop and splutter and it will stall. I have to keep my foot on the accelerator upto about 1500 rpm for a good 10 seconds, and then it's completely fine! As I say, it only does it sometimes and only if the car has been used frequentley throughout the day. It will start up first thing on a cold, icy morning no problem. Would giving the MAF sensor a good clean help maybe?
legvw 0
Sounds like it might be coolant temperature sensor related fault. But it would benefit from a scan to see if it throws any codes up.

[/quote']As Paul Parky says, It does sound like the Coolant Tem Sensor..As soon as that problem occours, pull over, disconnect the Coolant Temp Switch and see if the problem occours, so at least in that way you'd know for deff its the CTS.Dont play about with the MAF. Spraying it wont really do shizzle.
