Recommended Posts

does anyoe know if all highlines were only fitted with 'normal' air con as standard, or was climatronic available as an option?

also, whilst here, what other options were available on highline? i know about the wooden wheel already.

I think the optional extras on a highline were the same as any other VR it just came with most of them fitted as standard... what exactly do u mean by options? mine came with optional CD changer, wood/leather wheel and scorpion alarm

well, on normal vr6's the a/c would be an option...where as on highlines that is standard equiptment. what i'm wondering is was there an option to upgrade the a/c on highlines to climatronic.

cd changer's a good one, hadn't thought of that...have any pics of it?

was the alarm deffo an option, or were they standard by that point? i'm pretty sure it will have been standard...is it the rectanguler black fob with two oval buttons that you're talkin about? my mates highline has that, and another me and another mate were lent had it.

Presumably if Climatronic was an option on late VR6s then that would include highlines

No pics of changer it was a sony butmodel changed from year to year but tbh if you start getting into accessories like CD changer you could go on forever!

Alarm was listed and charged for on the original bill of sale as an optional extra thats all I know

mines has the 6 disc cd holder in the centre console! not sure if thats optional extra or not!

thats was indeed a VW accessory made by Fischer

yep, an accesory rather than an option....suppose a cd changer is the same.

pete's is higher specced than highlines isn't it?
