m4t_lee 0
since my last vr i've had a mk4 anniversary tdi, a mk4 r32 and now a mk5 gti, thinking again of getting a vr6 in good condition, i miss the v6 engine and the go-cartness which you dont get with newer mk5's, are people still getting on ok with their vr's using them day in day out or are they really getting a bit long in the tooth for doing 45 miles each day to work and back etcWill i miss the refinement of the mk4's and mk5's and the 40mpg of the gtiAny thoughts would be welcome
rodney 17
people are still getting on fine - there are some belters around... one chap has a 22k mile highliner... but obviously not common anymore...yes you may miss the refinement and the 40mpg but.... you gain sound and a go cart... m4t_lee 0
Cheers guys, I miss the sound of the bmc cda and the v6 Only thing is I wouldnt want to be left with it in a few years and not be able to sell it due to the engine size and fuel costs, dilemma dilemma
rodney 17
for the costs you can part ex in at a garage and get what it'll be worth... we dont do it for the value its for the love....
Mastiff 0
I would go for one mate! These new cars are all lovely with every creature comfort known to Man and every safety device that would even protect the air freshener within the car.....But what they all lack is how raw the VR6 is. When you look under the bonnet of a VR you are greeted by a lump of engine that looks aggressive......Todays cars look like something from a spaceship when you open the bonnet with a sea of electrical things and plastic covers.I would deffo' get one at the price they are going for these days.
