Goguvarra 0
Hello,After the engine is getting to its normal operation temp (in the city mine stays just a bit above middle when the fan kicks in) the car blows hot air inside the cabin even if I have the dial set to cold. I've noticed that it gets pretty hot under the hood and I know that the VR is a hot running engine but is this normal ? I guess it's nice in the winter when it's cold but i'm damn near cooking my ass off in the car right now in the summer time. And the A/C s broken. And Is it normal for the center console to get warm to the touch along with every other plastic located in the lower area of the cabin near my feet ?Is this ok or am I missing some heat shields inside the engine bay ?Also the right side of the car in the front near the headlight is getting really warm almost unconfortable to the touch, more so than the left side, is this normal. I know this is probably a silly question but this is the first car that seems to get so damn hot under the hood and I'm worried not to affect stuff inside.thanks,Mike
spadam 7
Mine did the same even with heaters off and vents closed hot air would still come into the cabin. Dont think anything is wrong just a hot running engine.
Goguvarra 0
...then I really have to get that AC working . I think if you press the air recycling button the air will stop coming in when the vents are turned on.

DsH 2
the leather seats dont help at all they conduct and rediat heat, they're basically greenhouses and the fan'sl never blow cold air, even in my old vw transporter the fans blow hot air even set to there coldest setting

Madrocker 0
it is normal, with such a big engine crammed into a small engine bay the heat soak through the firewall is a common problem. I remember reading about it when I was researching the vr6 before I bought one.
