ollie_ 0
Ok, so this thread is for people who've used Nos, not people who think they know about it. I've had so much shite spouted at me by people who have never actually used it!Basically, I want to do it for as cheap as possible. Quite fancied doing direct port, but that needs to be a wet system so that's more messing about. The option appealing to me at the moment is a dry system, before the MAF, which will apparently trick the MAF into chucking more fuel in? Does that sound about right? So, talk to me about your experiences, and what you've used etc Ollie

Rustyman 0
I have been looking at NOS for a long time 3 yrs plus but everything is pricey for me on my shoe string budget...the best all round system i can find is the ZEX system... as it does away with messing about with complicated set up and pressure... It has a module regulator that automatically adjusts to the bottle pressure so won't make the mixture run lean or flood the engine... Kits i have seen are about £600 plus the postage on top from the USAThe reason i looked at it was that i don't want to spend thousands on cams ECU head work etc.. plus i want to stay N/A and it helps N/A cars keep up with the turbo / charged guys on the throttle response stakes ... ollie_ 0
Right so Tony, you used a wet single point system. You ever have any problems with fuel puddling of the manifold etc? That's the only thing that's putting me off wet, as the VR manifolds won't flow fuel very well I'm sure!
gary_auto 1
And also you just tock a T from your fuel line ?
ben_notts 0
i ran gas on my old vr and plan to put it on my next one once all the other stuff is out of the way.i ran a wizards wet system using 75 hp jets and a minimax controller, it completely changed the car and the torque is through the roof as i run a schrick VGi so the effect is similar to direct port as a schrick uses equal length runners.id favour a wet system as you can tweak your jets and lean it out to suit but if your going more than 50 jets then you should get some colder plugs to get a better burn.as for performane, everyday use its absolutley savage. even on the 50 jets you can school some big money cars and find yourself wanting an even longer box even though the vr's is silly long. 100 comes up VERY fast. i wish i still had it fitted i couldve done a no gas / gas comparison on vid for you.one thing that did stand out was how much the 6 branch headers glow after a blast - you NEED it wrapped of your gonna melt the steering boot! mine was just at the gap on the top of 1 header but wouldve been glowing orange throughout.
