Geastb 0
Do i need to lower the compression when fitting a supercharger? Or is that only for high boost/turbo chargers? My head gasket is leaking and as i'm having the head off is it worth putting a bigger gasket on to lower compression?
VRmonster 1
if you want to run a charger at around 10 psi, id leave the compression as it is. it wouldnt hurt to fit a copper head gasket though as theyre much less prone to leaking and withstand higher temps from the boost.but anything after about 10 psi you should really run low compression. but with a charger after 10psi your gonna start to see belt slip. so may as well save yourself the cash. £200 delivered from designadubs for a 8.5:1 CR head spacer. ouch. lol
mightyvr6 0
The zr2 only runs about 7 psi so you don't need to lower compression. If you lower compression as VRmonster says, you'll need a smaller pulley to get the same power as the standard pulley gives on stock compression.
