biff 0
been to vw 2day for a price on bits as i think genuine it has 2 be and also the timing belts etc... total price including vat was £530! but he said i might not need all the parts listed just wanted 2 ask u guys what items i need 2 replace. the list he gave me for the head parts is as follows....cylinder head gasketrocker cover gaskethead boltsvalve stem sealsfilter element with gasketround sealintake gasketsthrotle valve gasketexhaust gasket
VR6Pete 1,455
also the timing belts etc? the VR6 is chain driven, if they are planning on doing the chains, then it's a gearbox off job. an ideal time to replace them if your approaching the 100k mark.... mightyvr6 0
I thought the VW headset (includes the head gasket, intake gaskets, rocker gasket, exhaust gaskets, valve stems etc.) was about £80 and the headbolts were about £50. £530? That can't be right.
