danie_jc 0
Hi, I'm new and am looking at buying a VR6 or 4motion. I have a question - which do you think would suit my need best and why? My useage will be as a weekend car (mainly in winter), track days and my true love the Nurburgring.
tjsmudger 2
Don't want to question your integrity but if you are going to use it mainly in winter surely the 4mo would be the better option!

craggsy 91
Personally having owned both 2wd 12v VR and 24v 4wd Golf I would say go with the 4mo as its a better all round car, tho speed wise theres not all that much difference real world. The 4mo will handle far better than the 2wd VR ever will. Well mine does and I spent a fortune sorting the handling on my VR. Koni coilies/arbs/braces
danie_jc 0
OK - well I'm not rushing into a purchase just yet - so will have a good look around at whats on offer to guage the tradeoffs - as obviously the 4mo is more $
thesurgeon 51
Personally speaking I gave a 4mo a nice view of my backside just yesterday. They are heavier than 2wd and it can show. A lot has to do with how you drive, and the type of roads - 4wds through tighter corners can handle extra speed but a slow in fast out lighter 2wd can do nicely too. Try driving both and seeing which bet suits your driving style, especially when you're giving it some.
bungy 2
If you are going to increase the power then awd is a bonus.
