VR6Nat 9 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Share Posted March 1, 2011 if its not that it could also be your MAF, plugs or leads, try cleaning the MAF with contact cleaner or running without it and see if its not that then check plugs and leads etc. But prob could well be the ISV. How does it run when its moving?[/quote']the MAF is on the airbox isnt it? when i disconnect the clip the car will cut out!car seems to run ok when its moving, £35 worth of petrol gets me 120-130 miles if that sounds right. paceo 22 Posted March 3, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2011 UPDATE - car is now doing this from cold and actually cuts out so i have to start it again, give it a bit of throttle and its ok, just idling it will run very lumpy and then cut out!car drives perfect still with no missfires etc....... Did you check you plugs and leads?hi nat havent checked the leads and sparks, im just going outside now to do this.so the car should still run when i disconnect the MAF from the rubber airbox pipe then?? paceo 22 Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 4, 2011 just checked the spark plugs and one is very black (rich i guess), i take it to get to all 6 sprak plugs of them your meant to take the cast alloy cover that goes over the rocker cover to access them?
