LiamD 0
Oh yes...My obd2 vr is misfiring and stuttering under 2krpm. After that it pulls fine.Fitted new plugs/leads thursday it seemed to solve the problem. Until today when I went to a rr day, filled up with shit total fuel and it started stuttering again. Replacing the crank position sensor has been suggested. Any other suggestions? It's driving me mad. Still pulled 189bhp on the rollers mind.
LiamD 0
Anyone?
craggsy 91
No loose wires anywhere, as a loose wire on maf will make it stutter at low revs
Jimmy-VR6-Highline 0
checked ht leads are plugged? if you had them off recently and not pushed them alway back in they can pop off.
LiamD 0
I'll check the maf. Might as well clean it while it's off.The plugs and leads are deffo in tight, first thing I checked. It's quite intermittent which makes it a total pain in the arse, and it never does it when the car is cold, only when it's up to temperature, which makes me think it's related to a sensor. Jimmy-VR6-Highline 0
You ran vag com test? If its a sensor that will pick it up.
LiamD 0
I'm going to put it on vag com at my friends tomorrow. It decided to stop doing it today mind :/
Madrocker 0
I had exactly the same problem, It turned out to be a HT lead arching. a cracked coilpack would cause the same problems though.
LiamD 0
Right banged it on vagcom. Got the following code -00533 14-00 relating the idle speed.Anyone encountered this and fixed it?
MJ Vr6 79
Check the Throttle body mate..!
MJ Vr6 79
Ooops, also when the problem happens, switch the car off, disconnect the MAF, and start and see what happens..!!!See if it starts again or not..
LiamD 0
I'm thinking carb cleaner down the throttle body and clean the MAF? What's best to clean the maf with? My mate said use electrical contact cleaner as it evaporates quicker.
VR6_Absy 0
If its obd2 I think you can re calibrate the throttle body through VagCom
Madrocker 0
If its obd2 I think you can re calibrate the throttle body through VagComDoesn't the ECU re-calibrate itself if you leave the ignition on without the car running for 15 mins.
