Relocating washer jets

Has anyone done this? Doesnt look tricky just wanted to know where the best place to put them is... scuttle panel or get the mk4 ones that go under the bonnet?

i was going to be doing this before the summer but not fully looked into how i am going to do it yet, had only really thought about the MK4 ones or makeing up some sort of bracket to support the old only but the latter would prob be ugly, need to get my hands on some mk4 ones to see what can be done with them

Cant they be fitted to the plastic scuttle cover?

Interested by the idea of the MK4 ones. Do they just stick to the underside of the bonnet then?

When I can afford to do anything to my car I would like to do this. Feed up of trying to avoid the washer jets when polishing the bonnet. :-)

yeah that sounds like a good idea.. you could look into the polo ones aswell might be a bit smaller ..

i have some installed in my scuttle panel, and they dont hit the screen very well, i dont know what theyre off but im going to get some new ones that point in a better direction, so be very picky as to which ones you use. i think mk3 polo ones point in a good direction to hit the screen from the scuttle panel. never tried em yet tho.

Sounds like the underside of the bonnet is the place to put them then. Whats different about the MK4 washer jets?

Old thread but im hoping somebody has some answers by now.

Im thinking of something my bonnet, do mk4 jets mount to a mk3 bonnet. Hidden underneath as they would on a mk4

I have mkiv jets fitted on a mkiv. If you need photo's to see how they are mounted I can do that.
