acf8181 0
ok, get them all from euro car parts, as they are vw genuine parts, but at about half the cost of vw. there may be a few screws that are only available form vw though.heres the screen print from ETKA showing all the vw part no's and has a diagram. (i presume your car is pre '97 by the fact it has arch covers? '97 on have different parts)...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v50/acf8181/various/timingchains.jpgthe easiest thing to do is probably print it off and take it into ECP, or e-mail it to them asking for which parts you need. you need everything off that image except the sprokets (no. 6 & 7) and you don't need to get a separate washer (no.12) as its included with the chain (bolt) tensioner (no.11).i didn't buy all mine at once and collected them over time, some from vw, some from ecp.the ones i did get from ECP were...lower timing chain - ECP pt no. 327440050 - £15.70upper timing chain - ECP pt no. 327440060 - £24.26chain tensioner (no.11) - ECP pt no 328440410 - £18.92chain tensioner (no.2) - ECP pt no. 328440420 - £16.16prices are + vat.the rest i'd already got hold of through vw, not sure of the cost but ecp will beat it. best thing is to get as much as ECP can supply then get the remainding little bits form vw.[ Edited Tue Feb 01 2005, 03:04PM ]
