stevej 0 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Share Posted October 23, 2010 Hi,I am looking for spme help with my raddo 93 VR6 148K. It will trun over but not start. When i switch on the ignition and staright away there is a random realy clicking in the fuse box and clicking form the engine bay, the rev counter needle flicks up and down. it can stay like this but can eventually stop. the engine turns over fine but it wont start, it will however pop a bit and it blew the palstic black box off / up which is on the back ISV. Its fueling and has a spark. When the ignition is switched on you can hear the fuel pump prime, occasionally it alternates between priming and stop the prime again - sounds like a buzz - quiet - buzz -quiet - buzz - quiet & occassionally the pump just stays on. have chnaged both relays 109 (ECU) & 67 (fuel pump) and made no diff, although the random clicking when the ignition is switched on stops if you pull out relay 109. relay 53 is also clicking away but not sure what this one does. it also stops when 109 pulled. the multimeter reading on the crank sensor is within normal limits the rev counter also flicks about when the random clickng is going on. Anyone got any thoughts ? would be really grateful if anyone coud help. moving house in 4 weeks and I need to get it out of my garage. mattyvw 0 Posted October 25, 2010 Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 i believe there is at least two earth straps there one that should be attched to the bonnet hinge mounting on passenger side and one attched to the side of the head, also might be worth finding if it's a fault related to the coilpack Link to post Share on other sites

stevej 0 Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 we did put Vagcom on it but the associated software was not working (we tried it on the other rado but there was a problem communicating between the software and the ECU. plan to do re-run on Thursday.the clicking alos stops when you disconnect the ISV lead.i truned the igntion on yesterday and again straight away there was a log pop/bang same as there was when the black casing was blown up on the back of the ISV. its wierdcheers for the comments guys, Link to post Share on other sites
