when i got the car, the guy told me that its the oil cooler. Alot of other people told me the same thing. So i have replaced the oil cooler, but the car cant drive yet because its leaking water from the long plastic pipe above the oil cooler.

Firstly, is it only the oil cooler that causes that, or could it have been head gasket too? Keeping in mind that the car does start and sounds healthy, although i have not driven it around as yet.

Secondly, that long plastic water pipe above the oil cooler, i was told that it has a O-ring on each side. Mind is leaking water from the left side (the side that does not have the 3 switches on). Is it only the O ring that i need to replace, or is that perhaps not the only problem involved in that?

thats what we call the crack pipe,it runs from the water pump to the thermostat housing,it does have O rings and the T piece that goes to the oil cooler is prone for cracking hence the name (crack pipe),replace the O rings and see how it goes mate but if you've got a mayo looking substance on the oil filler cap or dipstick it could be a head gasket
