What is the proper way of removing a door panel from a Jetta \ Golf VR6 without breaking anything?

Since a vr6 has a common gearbox problem (a friend of mine had about 4 boxes in his before selling), what gearbox can we fit on here that gives less problems? Another friend of mine has a 6 speed box in his, im not sure what box it is but i think its a 1.9tdi box? I would like to know this as when or if my box goes, i dont want to replace it with another box that will break soon..

Id like some advise about lowering my car. I love a car to be EXTREMELY low... Is there any way available to lower my car while still having the soft ride of standard height, or is it a general rule, the lower you go, the harder the ride? Id like to fit coilovers inmy Jetta Vr6, because i cant obtain a plus minus 80mm drop like i would like. I have heard some people say coilovers will be softer than cut springs, but proof is in the pudding/./

Thanx for the help guys the uncommon tyre sizes here are quite expensive for such a narrow tyre ( im looking at putting 165 40 15 on my 6.5j standard vr6 rim ). They want R1300 per tye which is about 130pounds. What prices do you guys get on tyes?

Here in South Africa we got the Golf VR6 and we got the Jetta VR6(saloon). The Jetta came out with different rims on, one being the bbs rim, and another which was a really ugly set of rims that said VR6 on the centre cap. The golf however came out with another sit of rims which are quite nice, and I dont think i have seen any of your guys cars with these on, correct me if im wrong by thinking that it never came out on UK models? (how do i post pics??)

I see that some of your tire sidewalls are normal shaped, and some have this slant likie the tire is too small for the rim(where ist looks like it stretches and pulls towards the lip of the rim). Hows does this work? is it a certain tire? I think this looks really nice but no cars really have that going on here in South Africa. Please let me know

a new rack sounds expensive on this car.. Its going to the mechanic on wednesday then he can tell me. I couldnt really see from what pipe it was leaking. I put in automatic transmission fluid, it should work with all power steering?
