hi all im thinking of getting remap on my golf vr6 2.8 odb1 i ve had a filter fitted with 268 cams and get the rev limiter raised do u guys think it worth with this setup cheers

get an exhaust first then get it mapped. You might get around 210bhp maybe slightly more.

my cat back milltek non resonated was £242 off ebay brand new (shown at regional meets but never fitted) and still had lifetime guarantee. Milltek decat was £80. Thought it was a bit steep but made a big difference over a sports cat.

youll prob find most systems are round the 350 mark

not bad price considering it includes a de-cat and is free postage.

i have an ashley cat back but in mild steel coz i dont like the tinny sound of stainless, it was only 220 quid is not to loud but gives a very satisfying subtle burble, i bought a de-cat from a club member and fitted myself, all in the set up cost less than 300 quid. but if you want stainless go through the for sale forums mate you'lll always fine one there

Sounds great , I love mine , nice and quiet on tick over with a definite rumble , and very subtle at low revs through town , but give it some beans and it sounds great its not loud but nice ! hope that helps .

hi,i took my vr for a proper drive and i change that last statement its freed up loads more power cant wait for the remap
