Integra DC2 was rapid after 6k when in vtec kick's in... like a diffrent car the vr seems less powerful Also had a blast with a 225 Seat Leon cupra in the integra and was close The Honda will keep pulling at 140+
The Monk 50
I beat an old shape Civic Type R on the way back from Oxford on monday. There are a lot of things I have been equal to or beaten that have more power.I have 198bhp and 235f/lb.Civics have less than both of those figures anyway and weigh more. H13VYY 0
I had a golf VR6 OBD2 engine for a few years. When i had my VR6 i raced my mate in his Integra DC2. Rolling race from 30mph, he won. From standstill, it was close to about 70mph where he took over after that. I also raced my other mate in his EP3 CTR and it was pretty close to about 80mph where he then took over. It's the tall third gear on the VR6 that lets it down a little, whereas the Type-R will be screaming in the VTEC range all the way to 8500rpm.I now own a Integra DC2 and from A to B, it's a lot quicker but i miss the low down power on the VR. amazak 3
Having owned a DC2 and a VR,my opinion is that the Type R is much quicker, although not too sure about the civic type R though.
