Ian_rogers 0
They prob didn't bleed the brakes via vagcom mate, so unless u know someone with vagcom ul have to take it bk' to them
VR6Nat 9
How long ago were your brakes changed and has the light been on since cuz brakes dont usually need bleeding after they are changed... and wouldn't really cause the abs light to stay on. Its probably more coincidence or that the may have knocked one of the abs sensors when replacing the brakes. You need to vag com it really as it could be a number of things, at least you will know the problem straight away instead of trail and error. evomad007 0
Thanks for the wuick responses, I have booked the car in for this afternoon so they can check it, more than likely the abs sensor according to the mechanic. Any ideas how much these cost? Thanks again for your help.

VR6Nat 9
Make sure they check and adjust it first and not rush to replace it, it may just have got knocked and have a lose connection.... :) good luck & let us know how you get on.

jimmyb 2
hey u guys i had a quote for 30 rear sensors from china and was shocked at the price £77 posted to my door,,if any 1 wants the link direct email to seller ask and im happy to give it out;)
evomad007 0
Yes your right china good are cheap. Be careful though ive had my fingers burntt before. Cheap prices but you do get what you pay for.. very poor quality made for pennies!! Out of the 10 air flow meters i spent £250 on only 3 were usable!! Il pay the little extra and make sure i know what im getting! thanks for the reply tho.
VR6Nat 9
yeah, i agree.... in most cases you get what you pay for.... at least with gsf you have a place to go if it goes wrong, but you send out 30 rear sensors and say half go wrong then you've got a lot of trouble on your hands.... a risk i would recommend taking. jimmyb 2
lol @ you would recommend, and yeh thats why i backed out of it really, cus the german 1s break a lot,so how long will the chinese 1s last,,and ermmmm naaa i aint gonna risk it,lol

evomad007 0
According to my mechanic the abs light will go out straight away as soon as the sensor is right. however i have always been told to disconect the battery if oyu are doing any work?!
jimmyb 2
ok mate thats great, shame i need to do bearings discs and pads the same time,i hate work lol
CALICO 130
dont need to disconnect battery for abs sensors as they are not live when the ignition is of. You may need to clear the fault on vag com i dont think removing the battery lead will reset it
