Gazbarber1982 3
Another problem with the car now.Every time I go round a roundabout a bit quick the car sort of hesitates / cuts out until I've slowed down a bit or straighten up. Fine around left bends, just the right! It was doing it just before the headgasket went and since getting it done it's had new plugs, leads, etc, etc. Had a second hand coil pack put on it because the original one was cracked!Any help would be much appreciated! Gazbarber1982 3
Oil is at max mark, fuel is at 1/4. Gonna try swapping the fuel pump today at some point and see if that helps. Can't understand why it only does it turning right. I'll try and find a long tight left and see what happens.
Gazbarber1982 3
Pulled the fuel pump out today and it's got a Walbro pump fitted. As far as I can tell it looks like the right one for the car and it's fitted into the proper cradle in the tank but it's still going limp on right bends!
Gazbarber1982 3
After much more reading on here, it seems that the fuel pump could well be my problem. I'll try putting more fuel in the car and trying again.
VR6Pete 1,455
I had this problem in my mk3, rattled my brains for months trying to fix it....It ended up being a loose wire on my ECU that kept on causing the revs to drop, which caused it to cut out. there was a tiny bit of movement on the ecu, which was enough to break the connection.might not be that at all, but I thought I'd share experience with others. Gazbarber1982 3
Turns out it is the fuel pump. Half a tank of juice and there's no problems at all!
