Rustyman 0
Right peeps.. was discussing with Jay this mornig when he came to pick up the dash ... about odd size wheels front and back.. i've currentlygot my old BBS 15's on the front and my 17's TT's on the rear giving the car a nice nose down stance..Is this legal ? As far as i've heard ( can't remember where ) that as long as the wheel sizes are the same on each axle i.e front's have both 15's and rear's have the 17's then this is ok ..It only becomes illeagal ( and not to mention stupid !! ) runing odd size wheels on the same axle i.e front left a 15 front right a 17 makes the car undrivable ...Can anyone clarify my logic ??? Rikki 2
Yea as long as its the same size wheels and tyres on the same axle its legal
Ian_rogers 0
I don't know where I get/got this info from or if I'm talkin complete rubbish but somethin tells me that the honda nsx comes with 18" rears and 17" frontsI may be completly wrong tho
xyber 1
Ditto what ricky says, so long as they match on an axle it's fine. Loads of cars come with staggered wheels as standard
Rustyman 0
That's great news Lads thanks.. coz i'm loving the 17's at rear and 15's on front.. So long as the MOT man doesn't pull me for it...
Special K 81 0
They refer to it a 'Rake' i believe, it gets done with hot rods and such like, the bigger and smaller the wheels(back/front) the bigger the rake...pretty sure its legit.
CALICO 130
i think that the rear tyres need to be wider than the fronts and the profile cannot be lower at the front
Rikki 2
not true my dads car comes fitted with 35 on the rear and 40 on the front.....although the rear is wider?? and plenty of supercars run lower pro at the front????
