Birchy 0
I imagine, but could be wrong, it will be the regulator thats failed and you will need to buy a new one Im afraid Dan...!Exactly the same has happened to my VR6
dman78 1
how much did u get it for mate?
Birchy 0
I havent bought one yet but there are plenty on ebay and in my area, Basingstoke, the scrap yards have 4 MK3 Golfs with regulators. I would say £25+ rather for a second hand one, the trouble with a second hand one is you dont know when thats going to give up the ghost.VW charge £195 to supply and fit a new one which is expensive, quoted me this morning, so look at Euro Car parts or someone of that ilk.You can pop the door card off, easy job, and slide the window back up. To stop the window sliding down again I placed some cloth on the top edge of the glass which has wedged into the top of the door. SIMPLES...!Hope this helps in some way!?! terrorste 0
78 pounds from euro car parts that with the motor though, when i did mine the motor still worked so i got one without the motor for 26 pounds and swapped the motor over from the broke one. quite an easy job if you have two pairs of hands. mine is running smother than any of the other windows
