muttley 0
Hi allI've been getting a problem that has been driving me crazy.Iseem to lose around a litre of coolant every night, during the day it is fine it doesnt leave any patches at all but every morning a wake up to this (obviously i've move the car back to take it)the main puddle seems to be coming from my oil filter :Shas anyone got any ideas, i've checked all the pipework and cant find anything but it does seem to be coming from the front of the engine somewhere, i'm baffled
VR6Nat 9
best bet is to dry it all off and put cardboard underneath, give it half hour then have a look, then you will see exactly where its dripped from and too... then follow it back and you should find the problem... is it ok when you drive it?? no smoke?? Is your heating working?? Water temp showing as normal on the dash??

[/quote']I tried that and had no drips all day long, right up till 11pm ish ( bed time ) then when i got outsde very huge puddle on the cardboard. its as if a pixie comes along in the middle of the night and turns the tap on.I dont think i'm getting any smoke it seems pretty clear apart from the obvious exhaust smoke you get on a cold day.Heating is working fine, better than it has been for a while to be honest.water temp is just under 70 on normal driving conditions. heats up as normal in traffic and fan kicks in fine
