hi, im new here, any help would be greatly appreciated......

i have a 95 jetta mk3 VR6 2.8L......... currently doing 128kw and 222nM.......

im planning on fitting cams, porting out my intake and custom induction kit ( BMC) with custom heat shield built....

i need advise on what to do to give my vr an extra punch.... kwik fix as they call it..... i already have a 57mm stainless steel zorst , decat....

To be honest, that is really as far as you can go without going FI. You can only really get around 210 - 220bhp max out of a standard vr, to go the next step you would need to get a charger or turbo, then you're looking at 270bhp and up but then you're talking a lot of money too...

Forced induction or R32 conversion.

By the time you've spent 1000s on big valve heads, high lift cams, capacity increases and trick cranks, 12:1 pistons etc etc, you'll struggle to hit 250 @ the crank. It's just how 12Vs are. They're not worth tuning normally aspirated beyond the basics.

For me, the Eaton is better. It's positive displacement so you will get boost low down. The M90 is the one to go for. There is a guy on here who has installed one and it goes very well indeed :-)

The Vortech needs a lot of revs to get the boost as it's centrifugal, but it needs a lot less work to install than the Eaton
