bungy 2
Have you got a set routine of grades of paper? I ask because i've got a rocker cover i'd like to do. Getting in the little nooks and crannies is a right pain.
MJ Vr6 79
Seems like this took a week longer than excepted, due to myself getting a another Tattoo done, so that kinda delayed it!!!Well Its near enough 75% finished, only think left now is to paint the Mani, should be ready for the weekend!! Getting in the little nooks and crannies is a right pain.Dependin on what you mean by nooks and crannies...You will find by hand/machine sanding doesnt always get rid of the pittin that you will see on the R/C and on Mani's!You need to get the rotating wheel with the Sandpaper attached to it' date=' looks like a 'Winged Propeller'..LoL to remove pitting and the nooks n crannies, then start sanding by hand to get an even finish otherwise you will find that certain places have waves in it! Start of well depending how bad the pitting is, id say P80, or P120.. See how you go mate![/b']

Getting in the little nooks and crannies is a right pain. He's avoided doing the nooks and crannies If doing it by hand then patience is what you need, I found wrapping sandpaper around various tools helped get in awkward places but it can be done, I've polished a complete VR manifold by hand and with the aid of various drill attachmentsI always start at the lightest paper that will easily get rid of any casting marks so usually around 80 grit, sometimes 40 on a manifold... always use a sanding block to keep things flat and even and make sure you get rid of EVERY mark left by the previous grade before moving on to the next because when you get to the final polishing stage all the marks you've missed will become obvious!
