Eat this 2 Posted December 12, 2004 Report Share Posted December 12, 2004 iv got me schrick and its polished !amazed its obd1 not 2 so i need a part for it is the part the piece that bolts to the throttle body and bolts to the manifold itself and more importantly the inside is filthy which cant be healthy is it wise to go at the inside and underneath with a jet wash?? and would polishing the bits i can reach internally be effective at increasing air flow (with it being smoother)????? Valver 0 Posted December 13, 2004 Report Share Posted December 13, 2004 JohnTry the carb cleaner method, but another way to clean out the polished residue is to flush petrol into the intakes and brush out with a wire bottle brush. Prob need to then wash it out and blow an air-line through it - thats what I'm doing with the standard polished manifold before I bolt that on (this method was advised to me by the chaps at Stealth as that's what they do before building customers engines up!).HTH Link to post Share on other sites
