AjayVR6 0
Hi Guys,New to this forum, and only just bought my VR on Sunday! Absolutely loving the car at the moment and it is by far the best car I've driven to date. Now, I just have a quick (and annoyingly common) question for you all...When I turn my ignition, I see IN01 breifly flashing up on the odometer display, I know this indicates a forthcoming service, but I am unsure of the exact meaning. I've done a search on the site, and there's a lot of conflicting information - ie. some people saying it means the speicifed mileage for the next service has been reached, and others saying the specified time for the next service has been reached...HOWEVER!!!!.... My last service was only done last April, and was done only 5,500 miles ago! From my understanding, the time/mileage for each service is either 1 year or 10,000 miles (whatever comes first). The car is a 1995 OBD1...Any ideas? Thanks in advance...Ajay! shail 0
Sounds like the service indicator was not reset during the last service, so the car doesnt know when it was last serviced. Not too sure about differences between IN01 and IN02
MarksMintness 0
It means Inspection 1 or Inspection 2 Service.if you look in the manual it tells the difference. I think IN01 is basic lube service, whereas IN02 is stuff like plugs and air filter maybe?Either way it means empty your wallet.Cheers.
VR6Pete 1,455
Its quite possible that your counters were not re-set after your last service, in which case just reset them and do another service next year.
