VR6Pete 1,455
It's probably one of the best buys you'll have for your golf, it will be like rails, no more boating...
dru 0
cheers guys, the spax coilover kit shoots the price up to £720 fitted, anyone recomend a good cheaper kit? and the only reson im sticking to spax is that i can get them fron an indepent shop and the only charge £20 an hour fitting but will only fit thing purchased from them other wise ill be looking at £50-£60 from another garage
Ben Seabrook 4
I personally wouldn'y bother with coilovers mate unless you are planning to alter the ride height then they are not worth the extra inmo - buy a good set of springs and shocks at the height you want and save yourself a few quid
VR6Pete 1,455
I only paid 500 for my koni coilovers, you can pick slighty cheaper ones for under that price too.
VR6Nat 9
Ive got Gaz GHAs on mine which are just over 500, then you can adjust the ride height and also how hard/soft they are to suit you, and you can always change the height if you aren't happy. There are some other good sets out there, but i wouldn't like to advise as i personally haven't experienced them. but mine are mega!!

craggsy 91
Always adjusting my stifness.....oooooo misses. But seriously spend as much as you can on suspension. Id say never just get springs on to old shocks. I got my KONI coilies for about £500 about 4 yrs ago and well worth the money. I adjust the stifness quite often

I adjust the stifness quite oftenyou and your stiffness !! ;)yeah the Koni sets are very good but they are near the £1k mark nowadays I think !! I like the idea of being able to adjust the stiffness but really cant see the advantage of cheap coilies over good springs and shocks - I know I will prob never alter the height on mine !
