As per the title. Called him up last thursday and told him of a brake squeal prob that's been buggin me for the last month and no one locally was able to help me diagnose the prob ( I couldnt work out whether it was seized calipers / handbrake or warped disc ). Anyhowz, at the drop of a hat he tells me to pop in the next day ( friday ) so he could get it on the rollers/ ramp to take a look !. Turned up late that afternoon and met the legend that he is then made miself comfy in the reception area for about 15 mins as he was already serving. Next thing his technician pops round, nicks me keys and whizzes round to the workshop. Another 15 mins later after a thorough roller test/ inspection he concludes that all calipers are fine but my pads have been rubbin against the lip on the disc causing all the bl##dy racket ( net result I'll be needing new front pads n discs as pads are deformed n discs are scored n worn ). I thank him and casually mention an abs issue I been havin, but instead of tellin me to get lost as its alomst closing time he fetches his lappy n tells me to drive him down the main road for a moving onboard diagnosis. We do just that n hey presto the codes come up and he runs me through them. I thank him again and ask him what the damage is n he wouldnt take a penny !! What a top bloke who'm I cant give enough credit to. Thanks to you guys for giving him great reviews..

I'm now well reassured as I'd already made a prior booking with him to carry out some engine mods next week :):) . this includes a Bmc cda, sp 263 cams, a 'sports cat' high flow cat and now some ebc USR grooved front discs as well as ferodo DS performance pads ( All just in time for the duxford group test ;) )

ive only got good things to say about vince aswell, same scenario with my passat 1.8t,eml on,told me to turn up the next day, plugged vag com in took him out whilst he checked the logs.got back had a good look under the bonnet.now at this point id changed all the vac hoses that are notorious for splitting it had been to about 3 other vag"specialists"who just cleared the faults.vince stuck his hand under my manifold and found the blown manifold gasket, and only then begrudgingly accepted a `drink`.top bloke
