vr6 exeter 0 Posted August 26, 2009 Report Share Posted August 26, 2009 hi, i have recently just bought my 2nd vr6, after driving my 1st i dont think ill drive anything else ever again!! my new one is on an m reg and covered 114,00miles, car is totally spotless, i am wanting to get some more power out of the engine, especially looking to improve the accelaration.waswondering if anyone knew the best way to do this and also the cost involved??cheers, shaun Link to post Share on other sites

FishWick 21 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Share Posted August 27, 2009 bmc cda airfilter will give a couple of brake £100 ishWith the BMC CDA being the only modification on an otherwise standard Golf VR6, I've seen a dyno confirmed 7hp gain. I'm normally sceptical of clip on mods like air filters and exhausts, but the BMC does actually seem to work and really does make the motor feel livlier.Schimmel's 263 cams have shown good results on the dyno too.
