i have a charger cooler setup

and thats about it to be honist

can anyone recommend what the smallest size pully i could run is/ what boost i can run

are 440cc injectors the best for this setup

do i need to run a dump valve

do i need to run different plugs from my v9 setup

will a 4bar fuel pressure regulator be ok

are there anythings i should look out for when im fitting this kit

Fitting is very easy...no need to tap sumps etc. When I was at Storm he says 300cc injectors are ideal fro 6psi pulley but cant hurt having slightly bigger injectors surely. Should be a diverter valve with the kit your buying.

I run mine with a rising rate FPR and runs fine.

What plugs do you have in at the moment?

Storm recommended Bosch F5DPOR and mine ran sooo much better with them in. ALso ive done the spacer plate and metal layed HG on mine

craig can i be a pain and ask if you can write a quick summary of all the parts you added with your charger? and costs?

just interested to know how much it would cost me, and if fitting is do-able with me being useless with a spanner...

Right off the top of my head

£1700 for charger and pipework and FPR

£100 for traction fluid for charger

£210 ish for ARP head bolts *

£50 Metal headgasket *

£100 spacer plate to lower CR *

£90 for new spark plugs

£110ish for new HT leads

£200ish for flowed head *

£40 for various gaskets *

£200 for wideband lambda sensor and gauge

£60 for oil pressure and boost gauges

£70 for decat pipe

£15 for new belt tensioner.......still owe Jim for that

+ oil and filters for a couple of oil changes

+ G12++ for various empties

That basicly covers it......plus ive changed sump and oil pump and got engine mounts on order. Just been changing everything really as its getting to the point where they need changing

Things with a * are not really needed but I wanted to make it fairly solid without going down pistons and conrod route

Oh and Mike if you aint any good with spanners then I wouldnt try and fit it as depending on your head it may need some taking off of it. Plus you will need acces to an angle grinder or some sort of cutting thing to cut belt tensioner down a bit. Tis all a bit tricky getting belt round all pulleys the correct way. You would need to see it to get what i mean

I dont see rising rate regulator in there Craig, What you using a begi or something that does the same job only more cost effective??? Also would it suit a turbo???

Yes mate, all depends on the castings on your head. My original head was fine but the new head need a good chunk taking off......tried grinding but took ages so Tony got a hacksaw onto it....lol

ah cool mine obd2 plus it need a little specer fitting to push my v9 across so the belts would line up so fingercrossed it wont need much

i think this is going to take me some time to get all the bits im gona need i hope i can still get it running for next year

ah also just a quick one im just about to get a exhaust made do you think a 2.5" be to small for this charger i want to go for around 400bhp eventualy should i go for 3" insted

2.5" is fine. I know of a Rotrex'd VR making 430hp with the same 2.5" exhaust I use. 3" is nice for a turbo, but even then, not essential. 3" saps torque away off boost.
