andylaurence 0
I don't think we broke the speed limit. We certainly were not driving quickly on the way there. It's about 280 miles, which is 4 hours @70mph. The 08:00 ferry gets us on the road at ~11:00, which makes a 5 hour journey quite easy. If you don't want to drive on Friday, there's always the option of stopping at Spa en-route. If you go the E42 route, you go right past it. Reims is a great place to stop too, but might be just a little too much of a detour - it's 400 miles and nearly all in Le France! If anyone fancies doing a road trip to some legendary European tracks, I'll be doing a tour next Summer. Exact destinations TBC but there will be existing and retired tracks and a few on-track experiences.
Jamesr_VR6 0
nah it's not mate - it has always been sold in France but a slightly different version than we got here but now it's the same - but we do drive in France but not for very long That makes sense, i went over to D'arras a few years ago to play golf and had a can of redbull confiscated by a rather angry looking customs woman as we got off the train, presumeably because it was the british version?I hate driving in france, although i was relatively good at it, but it was a left hand drive car so made it easier.Apart from booking the ferry, taking the necessary kit, and spending money the whole getting there malarky im going to just follow craig so long as he dont mind haha
Miss-Vw 2
After reading up about it, I would definitley like to be put down as a probably! Its got to be done really. I was meant to be going away in March to Amsterdam for my yearly rave up which would've cost about the same, but I can put that on hold until November, much rather get the new VR on the track

Just keep an eye on the first page and all the important info will be updated on there mate - as for following Craig well apart from being a bit of a goon that's not a bad plan although might be easier said than done know he has his new blower on ;)After reading up about it' date=' I would definitley like to be put down as a probably! Last time, for the first time ever, I didn't get lost at the Brussels Ring Road. Yay!As for Reims, I've only been there once, but it's fascinating. The track stops instantly as you go round a corner though - straight into a field! The pit lane and grandstand is so surreal. There's a campsite behind for those who fancy it. I'm thinking about Reims > Dijon > Magny Cours > Clermont Ferrand > Val de Vienne > Le Mans > Rouen as a nice trip. Most of it sight-seeing, but there's room for a track day at any of them except Reims and Rouen.

We had 24 hours to get to Slovenia and our overnight stop was in Strasbourg. That's quite a drive. We literally stopped for half an hour to drive around the remains of the track and get half a dozen photos. It's right next to the Autoroute, so it'd be rude not to stop! Next time, I'll be sure to make more of the region...
hvr6 88
personally I reckon the best thing to do is to use the first servies on the E40 - so we are not messing about straight after the ferry everyone can just nip onto the motorway waz up it and stop at the services for fuel' date=' redbull etc makes it easy [/quote']waz?! lol

Miss-Vw 2
Ok well I will check out the camping website, I dont own a tent either though - last camping trip I went on was with my boyfriend and we ended up having pots dotted around the floor to catch leaking rain water! But I will see what the finances are like as it will be nice to be with everyone else. And also with the ferry and the tunnel, ill see which is cheaper when I come to book.
