Timah89 1
my bro has just brought it over tonight, so day off work tomorrow and will hook it up. Bit scared though now cause pump can be very expensive from what i hear! Just what i need!
Ben Seabrook 4
just changed the pump on mine mate - bought a second hand one for £40 and took about 2 hours to change it all over and then another hour or so to bleed the brakes and the pump - not a very tricky job either

Timah89 1
as for the brakes, i think i may have an air bubble in the lines or something, gonna try and bleed them over the weekend and see what happens. will clean the faulty sensor too.
Timah89 1
can anyone help with any of this?
Ben Seabrook 4
did you try and bleed the brakes mate ? as vag-com has popped it up I would suggest that the sensor it noted 00283 - Front Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G47) is worth replacing - they are able to stand a fair amount of dirt etc and still work - with vag-com the thing to do is always save the codes then run it again to see what "live" problems you have
Timah89 1
i'm gonna try and take the sensor out tonight then replace it, any idea on costs for new ones? i'm hoping that fixes the problem then without having to bleed them. we shall see though, knowing my luck i'll need to replace the whole brake system haha. Any ideas on how i would fix the other problems too, coolant sensor (where is that particular one located) and the MAF sensor, only cleaned that a little while ago. But it does feel like it struggles abit low end sometimes. thanks
Ben Seabrook 4
the sensor's are pretty expensive from memory they are about £15 plus vat from GSF - replacing the ABS pump isn't too big a job but bleeding the system is a faf have you tried cleaning the MAF ?
