What date did you get pulled by the police? See the following link on the Avon and Somerset Poilce website - in particular 'DVLA Tax Exemption' and the new rule as of Sept 2008 allowing you to use your car for the first 5 working days of the month your tax runs out IF (like you) you have applied for a new tax disc and are displaying the old one.

I stripped one of my Vr6's, alerted dvla and applied for my tax refund. I had over four months left so was expecting four months worth of a refund.

I wait three months and get a letter saying i havent told them why i want a refund (although i did in detail) and that when i tell them why i want a refund, they will issue me a refund. because it has taken them so long reply to me and the fact that the letter says i will only be refunded from the date they recieve the new information i now have no refund to claim!!! Three months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I then get a letter a little while later saying i owe £80 for failing to register my car sorn or get tax!!!!

Apparent reccession that the goverment are trying to get us out of yeah??

I have also seen three more speed trap locations around my area in speed dron zones. After seeing a Tv programme recently, these generate on average £60,000 a day per camera.

The goverment. is all about robbing the poor/poorer.
