MarkGolf 6
I got a pipe similar to this..I want to replace it with a samco hose, but can I?Do I just leave the hoses which go to the OE intake hanging free? Or do they HAVE to be joined to the intake? And, done this before, but REALLLLY want to rid of this, and I've seen engine without it! HOW?They have a oil breather filter in place of it.. andy 0
the second picture shows the ISV (idle stabilisation valve) and sound deadner (the black container) I believe obd2 engines don't have these as they don't require external idle stabilisation because that's taken care of with the electronic throttle control, so whether you just need an obd2 throttle body or need the whole obd2 ecu etc I don't know. You can as you say get rid of the crankcase ventiliation pipe and replace it with a small breather filter but that's a separate issue to removing the isv afaik.

[/quote']excatly what i was gonna say!apart from you can't just put the obd2 stuff on, you'd have to do a complete obd2 conversion (so wiring, ecu, and everything)[ Edited Sun Nov 07 2004, 04:18PM ]
