cesvr6 0
The rear shock has popped up through the car and into the boot! After stripping the rear suspension it was found that the spring clip and washer was missing allowing the top of the shock to punch through the spring retaining bracket. As i have only had the car a few months and am new to vr6's anyone know if the golf has this as a common problem or do you think that the previous owner forgot to put it in place when the supension was replaced?Any ideas? :? Guest Olly_K
um, no, i would say thats definately not common !if the suspension has been changed, then its more than likely that the bloke didnt put it together properly. Has it done any damage ?

cesvr6 0
It has damaged and made the hole bigger in the spring retaining plate...so i have been told!It also pushed off the parcel shelf holder, but no damage!I am going to VW garage tomorrow to order a spring clip and washer.Hopefully this will fix it!
