t111bul 0
Hi Guys,I have finally got my engine to run and it did soud like a spitfire before i attached the exhaust,it was awesome. But now i have the problem that when i start the car the engine will only run for a couple of seconds. I don't have my vacuum pipe connected but i wouldn't of thought taht would make any difference and when the engine is running the N80 vale clicks as thats not connected either. What should the N80 valve be connected to?It only has a pipe cming out of it that has been cut. Also my MAF looks to have seen better days as the mesh is torn on one side.Tim

t111bul 0
The donor car was a 1993 K reg,it is a coil pack engine if that helps?
UnitedMotorsport 55
Check the ECU number. From what your saying it should be 021 906 258AF. These ECUS have no in built immobiizers. The N80 valve is what controls the ammount of evaporative emmissions back into the inlet manifold, It should connect to a rubber pipe to the left of the throttle body on the inlet manifold as you look from the front of the car. richievr 1
too early for a factory immobiliser then.. they came in halfway through 95, so it won't be that.i take it the engine, loom and ecu all came from the same car?
t111bul 0
What is the other end of the N80 valve attached to?
t111bul 0
Yes all the engine, loom and ecu came from the same car.I'm not sure of the ecu number as i work in France so i won't be able to work on the car for the next two weeks but the ecu has a non soldered chip.
