tandino 1
Best i secure mine in somehow - especially in the presence of Rich next weekend I suppose the only way around this is to fill the removal holes leaving wheel removal as the only way of removing the caps :! VR6Steve 0
Nah Pete, I think you misunderstood, Rich said VALVE caps. Or did I get it wrong? :-)Same thing happened to my other halfs car. Blinking kids nicked them for their bicycles too. :-(
VR6Rich 3
Yes, it was valve caps. Paid £10 for a set of 4 porsche crested valve caps. I polished them myself. :-(
tandino 1
Ooops - so he did - my mistake ,Cant you get the valve caps that need a release key to remove them??,Otherwise Rich you need to put them on really tight - ie nip them up with a pair of pliers so that they cant be undone by hand - obviously you can carry a pair of pliers in the boot 8) Pete. bigvw 0
Rich, you want to get what I've got on my wheels, flush fitting valves. Saves all the thieving wee barstewards from relieving you of them. Mind you you'll need to get your tyres off to fit them!!
VR6Rich 3
The ones I had covered the whole rubber valve and had an embossed porsche logo to go with the wheels. Looked good but I think I will go down the route of the flush fit valves. How much are they and where can I get them from?
VRmonster 1
be careful if you do, i had trouble with low quality items from my local wheel shop. they got stuck on and couldnt open them to top up the air. took me hours to pry them open.
bigvw 0
Rich, get the Richbrooks ones as they are the better quality ones and I've used them on cars since 99. Never had any problems with them unlike some friends who bought cheaper ones . Just dont lose the air adapter!!
