Seademon 0
I've got a pair of front calipers from a 996 - some 4 pot brembo's, they look massive! Anyone else using them? What size discs are you using? Was gonna go for some 312mm discs but miht go bigger if I can. What are they like? Not fitting mine for a couple of months - got braided lines fitted already. What pads would be good for fast road/track use? I've got green stuff fitted at the moment, not really keen on them - want something thats gonna give me some serious bite!Cheers
Lizard Racing 0
Ive got them on mine. I run Brembo Seat Cupra R discs 328s and Mintex pads. They stop ok, but they will squeal like nothing else if you dont use the Porsche shims £100 for a set of 4. Porsche pads are not that expensive tbh maybe worth a try. Seademon 0
Cheers for the replies - I've got the pads aswell with the calipers so I'm gonna see what their like before I replace them with something else.Lizard - what size wheels do you have to fit 328's? I've got 17's & if I could get the 328's to fit under a 17" wheel they sound perfect. Got any pics at all of the brakes fitted?
jesterwalker69 0
I am using Porsche Brembo's and 312mm discs at the mo and they fit nicely with 17's. Fancy going a bit bigger but had enough trouble faffing on with spacers etc to get the wheels to fit over calipers! Cant mind what pads i've got in at the mo but they dont squeal too badly at all. Seademon 0
When fitting these brembos & larger VAG discs (Im going with 312's) will I need a spacer still or is this just needed if i was using standard calipers with the 312'sHope that makes sense!Cheers
jesterwalker69 0
By a spacer do you mean wheel spacers or some other kind of spacer??I needed 10mm spacers with my Porsche Brembo's and i also have a fag papers gap between wheel and caliper!
