acf8181 0 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Share Posted October 19, 2004 no, they're different part no's thats for sure, although they'd both prob fit.you'd be pretty insane to use a CL one on a VR6, as in all likelyhood the vr ones are beefed up.never skimp on ball joints, if they go its pretty much a sure thing that you'll have a big accident. i only use genuine vag ball joints.[ Edited Tue Oct 19 2004, 10:15AM ] Link to post Share on other sites

acf8181 0 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Share Posted October 20, 2004 yep, a couple of mates have got very lucky over the years, one had one go at 20mph and ended up on the pavement just missing someone. nothing he could do, was a passenger. did a fair amount of damage to the car as the wheel came round alongside door. another had one go at 60mph and unbelieveably it kept in a straight line.
