aaronmk2 3 Posted November 1, 2008 Report Share Posted November 1, 2008 hi there i think this is my first post on the forum basically im looking at selling my mk2 gti because ive wanted to have a vr6 for a lkong time now but couldnt afford the insurance now being old enough im thinking of getting one i did wanna put a vr in my mk2 but in all honesty cant be bothered lol and havent got the money to afford to get it done proffessinally, so i just wanna ask is buying a mk3 highline a good move basically im gonna miss my mk2 loads and need some good points in owning a mk3 vr6 lol basicaslly are they any good to owncheersaaron Link to post Share on other sites

H13VYY 0 Posted November 1, 2008 Report Share Posted November 1, 2008 lol but he can get that same noise from a mk2 vr6 though. depends what your looking for mate. a mk3 highline has performance aswell as that luxury smooth ride. As they say, vr6 is one of the few cars from the 90's that are just as comfortable doing steady speed of 70mph as it is at 30mph.Apart from that you obviously get your standard goodies like air con and heated leather. But on the other hand, if you don't give a monkeys about luxury and just want performance then go for the mk2 vr6. Burt i say upgrade to a highline as i own one . Link to post Share on other sites

Saunders82 0 Posted November 4, 2008 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 i had a mk3 gti 16v and i now have a properly done mk2 vr6 ( when its back on the road lol ) bascailly the mk3 will be a very comforable car and will ask everything you want from it. however the mk2 vr is not a refined car its a complety different animal.I love mine to peices it such a mental car lol seems to just take off when you put your foot down and it feels like a much more lighter car .
