Right. The garage by me have checked the sunroof and reckon the motor and mechanism are knackered so they reckon with labour is gonna be about a grand to sort it out. Do you think this is about right or are they talkin sh"t????

That's the most ridiculous quote I've ever heard in my life. My Golf has a broken sunroof and so has my new toy (Corrado), I need to sort them both out but am not expecting to pay more than a hundred quid to sort both. These sunroofs are fitted to just about every VW post early 90s, two a penny mate.

I changed mine yesterday! Had to get the headlining down which meant removing the a, b and c pillar trim. Swap roof over (10 ish bolts), all back in again. Problem is the mechanism I got to replace it was worn in a differebt way aaaaaaaagh. It has to come out again, 9 hours it took me last time ;-( ACF is there a working sunroof on the car you know of thats being broken?
