Should i carry a spare supercharger belt with me?

Hi all, i've bought a vr with a vortech stage 2 supercharger, 290bhp & 265lb/ft torque. I'm headed out to the ring in about 3 weeks time and i've just sorted the suspension, new wheel bearings, cspare brake pads, second set of wheels with fancy tyres etc.

Just wondering what are the chances of the belt breaking? Obviously the car is going to get a bit of a caning but i'm not stupid enough to try and kill it, so do i need a new belt? The current one visually looks great.

IF i should carry a spare which belt would i need and where to buy from? And finally is it quite easy to fit, i'm reasonable competent mechanically.

get one!!! its unlikey to go but you may have jinx it so i would !!!! check stealth, storm developments or ns racing

ns racing mate, all thats needed to fit it is a spanner to loosen the 2 bolts on the charger bracket and a socket to slacken of the clamp that runs around the outside of the charger

as long as you keep an eye on oil temp you will be fine on ring

Good advise, mine was hitting 125 degrees as i was approaching Tiergarten, need to get a cooler for next time!
