Dr.Pepper 0
I tried to replace my rear brake pads this morning, but I couldn't get the piston to shift back. According to the Bentley manual, I need VW special tool 3272.Does anyone know if there's a nack to doing it or do I need to go and buy the tool ?I tried twisting with mole grips, and using various levers to force it back, but it was having none of it.Cheers
acf8181 0
think you're on CGTI forum, and i've answered this already on there.if not, just get the tool, it's an investment, and saves sooo much time and effort.

Dr.Pepper 0
I've got discs and bearings too but they don't really need doing.Last service in the summer, the guy said I needed newdiscs and pads on the rear.Couldn't afford the £250 he wanted so bought the bits myself. When I got the wheel off and had a proper look, the discs were fine, but I do need to do the pads.
