Haydn 0
To remove your front 3 ht leads from the spark plugs and put them back on. I alwats struggle and often end up with the lead in my hand and the rest of the ht lead still on the spark plug. Then i have to use long nose pliers to push the lead back on the sparkie, Damn inlet manifold always in the way, anyone have a good way of doing this?
craggsy 91
You can buy the tool from VW tho they don't always sell em. Or GSF do the tool as well......but as you say long nose pliers do the job, but don't ever just pull the leads
lee060 3
the tool for the job , normaly found on the bonnet stay (plastic circular thinghttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CORRADO-2-9-VR6-GOLF-2-8-VR6-spark-plug-tool_W0QQitemZ250213535718QQihZ015QQcategoryZ9889QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ) removes and refits them . or get the better metal one , makes it 10x easier http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VR6-plug-lead-removal-tool_W0QQitemZ160207382594QQihZ006QQcategoryZ30917QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem well worth it . there are a few variants out there just make sure its metal , plastic ones are pretty hopless tbh !! hope this helps Liam . Haydn 0
Great thanks, i might get that one off the bay. One of my leads came off the end of the but it shoved back on, is it best to but another lead? So with that tool i suppose it just grips the lead so you can pull it off?
