adamsimmons 0
Hi Ciaran, I have a coilpack you can have, as far as I'm aware it works perfectly. I took it off my car as I thought it was causing a misfire and bought a new one, but it ended being the headgasket. PM me if you are interested.Cheers
Ciaran 4
well fitte a new coilpack and it started but was slow as sin. discovered a short in the laserline alarm so it was fully removed. still it did not run properly so dissconnected my unichip and it now runs perfect if a little slower
patpong_pete 0
so what was it in the end or all three?
Ciaran 4
the coilpack ignition amplifier was blown by eigther the unichip or the laserline alarm. The alarm has caused no end of hassle so it was removed and the fault persisted so the unichip was removed and the problem was sorted so pretty sure it was not the alarm but with it removed it means i will have no more bother with it!!maybe slight overkillbut at least it is going again as driving the Mrs car was doing my nut in
Ciaran 4
well can now confirm a dodgy fitted alarm done by twisting wires together with tape caused a short and blew up my coilpack and knackered my unichip officialy never using halfords again
